HoloVizio, the real 3D display
[2007.07.23.]
Holografika developes the ultimate 3D display solution
Artificial three dimensional imaging, has been existing for a long time in the form of holography, which sets the minimum features for on-screen 3D visualization as well. Viewers should see a 3D image on the screen as they would see it in reality. Systems that cause any discomfort or restrain the viewer are not broadly accepted. Several announcements have been made about the invention of the ultimate 3D display but none of these meet all the criteria, which HoloVizio, the latest 3D display solution developed by Holografika comply with.
HoloVizio is the ultimate solutions, as no glasses are needed, the 3D image can be seen with unassisted naked eyes. Viewers can walk around the screen to see the objects and shadows moving continuously as in the normal perspective. It is even possible to look behind the objects, hidden details appear, while others disappear (motion parallax). Unlimited number of viewers can see simultaneously the same 3D scene on the screen, with the possibility of seeing different details. Objects appear behind or even in front of the screen like on holograms. No positioning or head tracking is applied. Spatial points are addressed individually.
NOVINEX is extending the application areas of Holografika’s screens by creating a camera system which can take a 360 degrees image of any steady object. Such images can be visualized and rotated on the Holovisio screen. So far computer-generated 3D images could be visualized on the screen but with the new development by NOVINEX real object can be shown in 3D.

ICT projects have been evaluated
[2007.07.12.]
The European Commission have evaluated the projects filed for the first Information and Communication Technologies Call
Projects filed for the first Information and Communication Technologies Call of the European Union have been evaluated by the beginning of July.
Together with its partners from all over Europe, our partner SEARCH Laboratory filed six projects to the call due on 8 May. As some of these projects have been positively evaluated, SEARCH Laboratory is preparing for hearings to be held by the European Commission, aiming at providing more information and making a conclusive impression to the decision makers.
Official results are expected by September.
Mobile Summit
[2007.07.05.]
Our partner SEARCH-LAB was one of the 20 exhibitors at the 16th IST Mobile and Wireless Communications Summit held in Budapest on 1-5 July
The IST Mobile and Wireless Communications Summit is a major conference organized annually in Europe, sponsored by the European Commission. This year’s event was held in Budapest at the Congress Centre of the Eötvös Loránd University, with the participation of more than 500 Hungarian and international professionals of the mobile industry. It was the first time that the Summit was organized in a Central-European country, a new member state of the European Union.
The programme consisted of parallel paper and poster presentations, complemented with a reduced number of plenary panel sessions addressing strategic issues of interest and a number of workshops, tutorials, and project and cluster meetings.
SEARCH-LAB was present as one of the twenty exhibitiors at the event, which was a great opportunity to introduce our activities to the mobile community as well as to gain information on the latest trends of the mobile and wireless communication.
